Describe the mood of the story in the first two chapters.

This is a pretty interpretive story with various moods and tones. Still I would say that things are seldom relaxed. There is always an intensity about Okonkwo that seems to radiate out and affect all characters. It is a very unsettling type of intensity. The threat of some type of violence seems to be always around the corner.
