How are Nwoye and Okonkwo revealed to be more similar than different?

They're both innocents in a way........ but I do not find them more similar than different. The way that I see they're alike is in the way they each follow their own beliefs and do not back down regardless of what the other believes. Okonkwo was like this with his own father, and his son follows suit.
