How did you feel at the end of the novel? What events, characters, or aspects of Achebe's writing contributed most to your response?

I suppose this question depends on how you feel. I found the novel very interesting. Okonkwo is a complex character, which I disliked but understood. The death of any culture is difficult to witness. The Igbo had traits that were both riveting and disturbing: I suppose this is the same with any culture. I appreciated the primal animal-like pride that Okonkwo had but, at the same time, he was a very flawed human being.
