How does the clash of the two cultures affect Okonkwo and his family

Many of Okonkwo's family join the Christians. They are tired of feeling marginalized and mistreated, especially by Okonkwo. Okonkwo is devastated at this treason against him and his culture. Of course Okonkwo wants to fight but, by the end of the book, any resistance against the white men is futile.
