Tribal life is at the center of Igbo culture. Men dominate society, and the tribe has its own laws and means for distributing justice. Religion and law are intertwined.

Work is physical, and the women partake in labor as well as the men. Colonization brings trade, something embraced by many of the clan and rejected by others.

Entertainment moves across the community. They embrace music, songs and festivities. Wrestling as an important sport; champions are revered.
