What progress does Okonkwa make towards establishing his new farm in Chapter 14?

Okonkwo, depressed, takes no pleasure in the land or the planting. He works hard and makes progress planting his seeds, but he finds no enjoyment in the work. His despair is overwhelming, and he isn't the young man he once was.
