The first time they'd gone to Datchet, the men couldn't find a room anywhere. They didn't even bother with the first hotels because each of them found something wrong in one way or another. They passed hotels, inns with no room, and were turned away from the beershop. Later, they finally came upon the home of young boy where they stayed the night, ate we, and slept not so comfortably in two tiny, little beds. That was the last time they acted uppity over accomodations.
