Discuss the humorus incident that happened with George when he stayed at Mrs. Gippings and his watch stopped working?

George forgot to wind his watch and woke up in the middle of the night thinking he was going to be late for work. He got up, bathed, thought it was a "wicked shame" that Mrs. Gippings hadn't started the fire ot prepared breakfast. George then left for work, and still couldn't understand why there weren't people up and about. He ran all the way to work and finally questioned a few men about the time. They told him to listen for the chimes..... it was three o'clock in the morning.
