What opinion do you form of the J’s character from your reading of the novel “Three Men in a Boat”?

J likes history and literature. He is a dreamer who fantasizes about courtly knights and the English countryside. This daydreaming often gets him into trouble when he stops paying attention. Although on the conceited side J, understands his limitations and often pokes fun at himself.
