Why is life compared to a boat? How do men over load their “boat of life”? How does it affect their nature in the long run?

A boat can only handle so many things before it is compromised. Life can only handle so much "baggage" before it begins to lag and sink. The men complicate their lives with too much baggage. This is represented by all the unnecessary "stuff" they load onto the boat for their trip.
