To Build a Fire
How is the man's self-sufficiency illustrated in the story?
.
.
Although the man is not aware of nature's warnings and rhythms, he is self sufficient. He has the gear to make camp at any time, even in the depths of winter. He has matches, reserve food and the skills to survive in winter with a fire. THe problem is that he pushes further not heeding that the Yukon is unforgiving of human vanity and error.
