Who is better equipped to survive in the cold, the dog or the man?
The dog is better quipped for the cold than the man. The dog is guided by instinct and the man is guided by a sense of arrogance. The man treats the dog as he treats nature. He lacks respect for both. The Dog's natural instincts tell it that they need to get out of the extreme cold. The dog does not wish to continue. It longs for the campfire it is so used to when temperatures drop to this. The dog is also physically superior for the cold. Its coat acts as dry insulation.
