Why are the children particularly intrigued by Boo's story in chapter 1?
Children are generally intrigued by stories of phantoms and ghosts..... the mysterious things that they cannot understand. Generally, when a child is told to stay away from something.... to be careful..... to not bother..... the first chance they get, they do "all of them".
