Explain Tom's version of the events on the evening of Nov. 21.

Tom explains that Mayella asked him in to help her with a broken door. As Tom often helped her with other things, he didn't think anything of it. Shockingly, while Tom was in the house, Mayella grabbed him around the waist and wanted him to kiss her.... Tom wasn't interested, but he was also afraid to physically move her. In the midst of this chaos, Mr. Ewell came home. Tom ran away while Ewell chastized his daughter for acting the whore. Ewell's next action was the cause of Tom's arrest.
