To Kill a Mockingbird

I need to write an essay on the question 'Analyse how "To Kill A Mockingbird" represents the context of life in the south in the 1930's through characters and themes.' I need some help on getting started and some points that relate to what is being asked.

This is worth 50% of my half yearly mark and I'm really struggling!

We can't really help with the writing process on this short answer forum space.I can give you a few pointers. I think they are asking you to pick certain points or characters in the novel for your argument. You need to first narrow your thesis statement.

Harper Lee's To kill a mockingbird effectively uses characters to provide context of life in the American South during the 1930's.

Then consider what different characters might represent in the novel and develop a paragraph on each as the body of your essay.

Atticus- enlightened, progressive

Bob Ewell- racist , generational poverty, low-self worth/"white trash"

Good luck!

I study the literature and analysis of various books, so you may need to read a detailed analysis or try to ask for help from a professional writer who can give you the beginning of your essay or write it in full. You may want to read reviews of such services and ask for help. I have long read the Papersowl review and consider it high quality. Worth a try if you need to. After all, this is not easy work to understand.
