Tom Robinson gets arrested because Maycomb thought Tom raped Bob E.'s daughter Mayella E. But he didn't so they put him in jail and he tried to escape. they killed him before he could even escape the courtroom. never escape a courtroom cause u have a 90% chance ur gonna get killed.
