To Kill a Mockingbird
Mrs. Merriweather of the missionary circle complains about her cooks and field hands. What does that tell us about her?
Is it just that she is a prejudiced person?

Simply, yes she is prejudiced. Her "help" are "complaining" about what is happening to Tom Robinson. Mrs. Merriweather is stereotypical of many Southern women in Maycomb who see black people as children or even sub-human.
