the book said that Tom raped mayella.
how come you're saying tom didn't rape mayella aslan? what do you have to say about that?

Well Allison, one of the major themes of the book deals with the fact that Tom didn't rape Mayella. It was her father Bob that was raping Mayella. Despite the overwhelming amount of physical evidence, presented by Atticus, that Tom could not have raped Mayella, the jury still found Tom guilty. They did this simply because they refused to believe a black man over a white man (Bob) even if he is a Ewell.

And so, they decided to kill tom cause he was found guilty and he's a big nigger lover.
