To kill a Mockingbird

In 1934, in Maycomb, Alabama, things seemed to move quite slowly. As you read the description of maycomb in the few pages, and come to meet its residents, how do you think you'd feel about living and growing up in that town at that time? Explain and give examples.

This is really asking for your opinion rather than mine. It really depends on if you are black or white. If you were white and not too poor, the town might be a good place to grow up. Certainly Scout and Jem have an almost idyllic childhood until the Tom Robinson trial. The town might be small and constricting as one matures.
