To what aspects of human nature does Atticus' summation appeal? Could he have said anything else to sway the jury?

What part of human nature does his summation relate to and do you think Atticus could have said more to sway the jury?

Atticus' summation appeals to the dignity of the jury.... their pride and self-respect. In my opinion, his summation was thorough. He could not have done or said more.
