What do we learn about Mr. Raymond in Chapter 20?

In Chapter Twenty, we learn that Mr. Raymond is NOT the town drunk, and that his brown paper bag contains nothing more than Coca Cola. We learn that he allows people to believe he's odd because he doesn't want to explain himself or the way he chooses to live.
