What does atticus do about tim johnson in the story To Kill a Mockingbird ?

Well, I guess if you consider shooting him a help.......... then he helped him. Tim is an old dog that's been running around the neighborhood for a very long time. After he gets rabies, Atticus shoots him.

Well, Atticus (one-shoot Finch) shoots Tim (a dog with rabies or a mad dog). Therefore, Atticus did help Tim by putting him out of his suffering, Agonizing pain, and misery.
