What happened during the tire incident? Who do you suppose was inside the Radley's home and what did scout hear?

In Chapter Four, Jem, Scout and Dill were bored and playing with an old tire. Jem was pushing Scout inside of the tire and accidently sent her rolling into the Radley's yard. Boo was inside the Radley house, and it was Boo that Scout heard laughing.
