Scout relates a few events that have recently occurred in Maycomb. Mr. Ewell holds down a job for a few days, but then is fired from the WPA (Work Projects Administration) for laziness. Bob Ewell lurks around Judge Taylor's house. Scout and Jem attend the evening Halloween pageant at school.
