what is significance of Lee's use if dark and light is used in this chapter?

To Kill a Mockingbird. If this is asked; I'm sorry cause i'm new and I forget sometimes that students my grade (or lower or higher asked this). I'm an ADHD kid and I have trouble writing papers. Please help me! XD:)
