Miss. Gates condemns Hitler's treatment of Jews while agreeing with the outcome of the Tom Robinson case. She agrees with systematic racism in her own back yard. Similarly, the Missionary Circle is concerned about the plight of blacks in Africa while, at literally the same time, discriminating against blacks in their own town.
