To Kill a Mockingbird
Why the narrator decided to stop the first part after the chapter 11?
Thank you!
Thank you!
There is a separation between Scout and Jem as children and Scout, and particularly Jem, as an adolescent. Both children have been exposed to some hard lessons of social justice human rights. Jem has learned to look past Ms. Dubose nasty external character to see a brave old lady beneath. Both Scout and Jem have more tools in part two to handle the more complex social conflicts that lay ahead.
Thank you very much!
I understand everything in the part 1 and I think it's an amazing story. But the reason why Mrs Lee splitted the book into two parts was unknown for me, particularly at the chapter 11. I thought it was because the mockingbird thing was going to be explained. But thank you! :)
