garvey tells cole that "you figure im scared of you, you can trust me." what does he mean by this ? do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Cole has approached life as if it is a power play. He got things by scaring and intimidating people. Garvey knows this. He has seen Cole's kind before. This is Garvey's way of getting into Cole's head. Garvey certainly knows the type of boy that Cole is. Garvey comes off as being a wise character. He seems to see Cole as he really is. There is a sense that he might have been like Cole in his own youth so yes, I agree with this statement.
