Look back to Peter's comments at the Circle on page 50. What parallels are there between what Peter wanted for Cole and what has happened to him?

Peter's comment is to the point, "I think someone should smash Cole's head against sidewalk so he knows how it feels." Here we see the circle of violence. Peter wants the same sort of violence inflicted on Cole that was done to him.

Peter wants the same thing to happen to Cole that happened to Peter. But laiter in the book the same thing happened to Cole but in a different way. Getting attacked by Spirit Bear is basically the same thing that happened to Peter. Except worse.
