Cole has problems with adults and authority figures. He struggles with memories of his abusive father. Cole extends this conflict to adults who are trying to help him like Garvey and Edwin. Cole struggles with his internal rage and lack of control in his life. Cole struggles with taking responsibilities for his actions.
