What actions did Cole accomplished that amazed you?

I think what imposed me most was Cole's sense of self by the end of the story. Cole was able to see that the world did not revolve around him and that he was just a part of a greater circle of life. Cole lets Peter actually hit him without reacting. Cole understood both his rage and Peter's rage. Cole certainly became more self-aware in the island.
