Why does cole skip the soak and walk uo the hill after he brings the log back to his camp?

Cole goes to the mountain to carry the “ancestor rock” up the mountain and then release his anger downwards as he rolled down the rock. Cole is frustrated with doing what he is told. The difference is this time, he knows how to deal with it.
