why does garvey state "something terrible has happened to you to make you want to killa poor small animal"? do you agree or disagree with this statement? why or why not.

I completely agree with this. Cole's killing of the small animal shows a lack of sympathy, empathy or even connection with another living being. Cole wishes to impose his will on another living thing for the sake of harming it, nothing else. Garvey knows Cole's spirit is sick.
