Should they have marooned the mutineers? Why or why not?

It seems to me the mutineers were having an awfully good time. I probably would have abandoned them as well, there's no telling what would have happened had they been taken back aboard ship. As is stands, Silver escapes...... bringing the others aboard may have been a catastrophe.
