In the play "Trifles".....discuss the other main props in the play

I believe I've already cited the dead canary. You're only looking for symbols that relate to the bird cage..... or to Minnie being trapped in her marriage?

One other symbol I can think of in regard to the "songbird" would be the fact that she was not allowed to sing after her marriage (or shall we say after she became locked in her own cage).
