Why did the characters go to wright farm house?

The characters go to the Wright farmhouse in order to investigate Mr. Wright's murder. Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters have accompanied their husbands to the crime scene in order to gather some things for Mrs. Wright, who has been taken into custody.
