who is mitch?

Mitch is a former student under Morrie at Brandeis University; he is also the narrator of the book. After University, Mitch is a failed musician. He is disillusioned with the world and desire for material success. After being laid off from his newspaper job Mitch writes about his meetings with Morrie each Tuesday. Here Mitch reflects on the nature of life, love, money and happiness.
