Viola is a pretty perfect character. Although this play is very much about "love" and deception, it is Viola that has a positive effect on others for the better. It is Viola that draws the Duke out of his self-absorption. It is Viola who brings Olivia back from her depression and mourning. It is the beautiful Viola and the rather androgynous Cesario who has the most impact on characters.
