Bloom seems more of an idea trapped in a person. He partakes in life with abandon, especially food. Bloom is sociable and great at a party. Bloom has no qualms about bodily functions. In comparison, Stephen is intense. He isn't a party guy and lacks a connection with his own body. Bloom loves the brothels for what they are intended for.
