Cellini was a celebrated craftsman in 16th Century Florence. He rubbed shoulders with the court and made enemies in the clergy; you might find him hanging out in the palace, a brothel, or even possibly a prison as he spent time there. It is said that his depiction of renaissance life is extremely accurate and very witty.
