what are the forms of conflict in Walden

I think that the major conflict can be summed up as Thoreau resisting the "civilization" in America. In particular Thoreau riled against government impeding in any way on individual liberty and autonomy. He turned his back on the excess and concrete of city life for the simple pastoral life of Walden Pond.
