Why does the mother leave one of the father's suits hanging in the closet?

The morning visiting father, mother takes all of his suits to the dry cleaner except one. She leaves that suit in the closet, so the boy can remember his father. Sadly, when he thinks about his father, he still remembers the way he was led away in his bathrobe and slippers.
