Why is Mit-sah important and what happens to him?

Mit-sah is Gray Beaver's son. He is responsible for the sled dog team that White Fang will lead, and he trains the puppies for the sled. Mit-Sah is never mentioned after Gray beaver takes the dogs to trade in the Northland.
