Why might Mr.tushman have asked jack , charlotte and julian to show Auggie around the school?

I think that Mr. Tushman wants kids to get used to Auggie. He wants Auggie to feel welcome and the kids to feel connected to Auggie. Having Auggie with other students will hopefully cause the general student body to accept him quicker.
