Catherine's Rantings

Catherine gets sick and feverish. In the midst of her delirium she begins naming the feathers leaking from her pillow. She begins hallucinating about her childhood and her love for Heathcliff. She calls out,

"I'll not lie (buried in the ground) by myself; they may bury me twelve feet deep, and throw the church down over.

Note the very passionate emotive language used in romantic writings.
