Wuthering Heights
compare and contrast Edgar's reaction to his wife's death to Hindely
From chapter 17
From chapter 17
After Catherine's death, Heathcliff didn't eat for days, he spent his time at Wuthering Heights in his room, "praying like a methodist; only the deity he implored was senseless dust and ashes" (175). Heathcliff spent hours watching over Catherine's grave.
Unlike Heathcliff, Edgar grew resigned to Catherine's death, and loved his daughter, who he called Cathy, very much.
