This is more of an essay question than a short-answer question which would be applicable to this site. However, we can certainly say that Faith, who is Goodman Brown's wife, should be an example of Puritan faith which would stand tall in the face of evil. However, she goes into the forest and engages in sinful behavior, thus showing her dishonesty and her on-the-surface Christianity. Goodman Brown also had one vision of his beautiful wife because of her innocence (he thought) and her faith which he wanted to emulate, yet when he finds out about her evening activities, he completely loses faith. In his loss, he becomes disillusioned and ends his life on a very distraught note.
