Was Giovanni trapped by Dr. Rappaccini ? What does your opinion ?

I suppose the doctor indirectly traps Giovanni. The garden and Beatrice become the focus of longing for Giovanni. He is a young man who is susceptible to the charms of an attractive young woman, especially if she is forced to live in solitude. Following his natural instincts, Giovanni soon finds he is trapped like Beatrice. They are both trapped in a world of longing and poison.
