In zlata's original diary (this is an abridged version), she refers to the politicians as 'kids' Why do you think she chooses this word?

Politicians generally argue, whine and have tantrums for their own interests and not the interests of the people they are supposed to represent.

In the first entry where the term "kids" were used to describe the politicians, there was an explanation of that term and it mentioned that it was a popular term to describe politicians in the Croatian language, the language in which she wrote the diary in.
