Throughout the study of "A Handful of Dates", students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.
In this lesson plan, students will be given a couple of different opportunities to use modern technology to engage with "A Handful of Dates" and its themes. For example, students will be able to use interactive software like Google Earth to explore and learn about Sudan, and use creative Prezi slideshows to present research about Sudanese history, culture, and society.
